Gustika Jusuf-Hatta (she/her) is researcher and activist specialising in conflict research, international law, and advocacy. She has worked in and collaborated with local and international human rights NGOs, intergovernmental organisations, and think tanks, focusing on the issues of security sector reform and governance (SSR/G), and human rights. Her previous research looked into Indonesia’s Law on the Management of National Resources for State Defence (UU PSDN), the violence and military occupation in West Papua, and repercussions surrounding the Myanmar crisis.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in War Studies from King’s College London, and had pursued a Master’s in International Law in Armed Conflicts at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.

Asia Justice Coalition
The project, “Understanding State ‘Values’ and ‘Interests’ in Pursuing Justice and Accountability,” is a medium-term study with BRAC University Centre for Peace and Justice, supported by Amnesty International South Asia. I helped research domestic policies and public statements on the Myanmar conflict in Indonesia and Malaysia, assisted with actor-mapping for international justice responsibilities, and contributed tp the final review of the report.
ASEAN regional forum (ARF) officer

I provided technical and administrative support to the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Unit, managing records and information to maintain institutional memory for 27 ARF members. I prepared reports, briefing notes, and talking points on various issues, including defence, ICTs security, nuclear non-proliferation, counter-terrorism, disaster relief, maritime security, and peacekeeping. Additionally, I managed a project under the ASEAN-Australia Political-Security Partnership (APSP) programme.
